Trekking the Brecon Beacons

Posted by MedServe on Wednesday, 12th June 2013

On the 8th June 2013, along with a team of 6 colleagues, Natasha trekked 30.3 miles across the Brecon Beacons in 12 hours or less.  The trek included climbing Pen y Fan, which as you may already know has a summit of 886 meters or 2880 feet.  It was a tough challenge, both mentally and physically. Especially as they reached what they thought was the final mile of 27, only to find there were a few more to walk, due to harvesting in fields across the Beacons.

Funds were raised for Paul's Place, the only charity specifically supporting adults with physical and cognitive impairment in the Bristol area and like many charities relies on the generosity and goodwill of the local community.

A huge thank you to so many of you for your kind donations, the team raised £1,859.00.
